Hot Finished Seamless Tube
Hot finished seamless (HFS) tube is a lower-cost product than CDS tube and is a good material for applications that do not require the close dimensional tolerances and quality of surface finish that CDS tube provides. HFS is used for products that require a thicker wall and a high strength material such as hydraulic cylinders, rollers and sleeves.
HFS tubing is manufactured to outside diameter (OD) and wall thickness (WT) dimensions.
Polygon offers HFS tube produced to ASTM A519 standards from A1020/A1026 carbon steel and various alloy grades.
Applications
HFS tubes are for high pressure and heavy duty applications that require strength. They are used in a broad range of applications, including hydraulic cylinders, drilling equipment, bushings, spacers, axles, rollers and sleeves.
